Lochcarron's 16 oz tartan cloth, their Strome line, has a richer look and a more textured feel than the lighter fabrics. It also offers the longevity, weight, and swing desired by pipe bands. The kiltmaker will sew all of the intricate pleats by hand and will secure the lining and front canvas into your kilt with a sewing machine. Hand-sewn pleats allow for the most tailored look. The tartan cloth is woven in Scotland at Lochcarron mills, and the kilts are custom made in Ontario, Canada. Because kilts are made to measure, they they generally take 6-10 weeks for delivery.
